Polaris is running in Switzerland since 12 January
2021. In short intervals France and BELUX have been migrated after that date. Since then, new countries and districts joined Polaris. In the almost five years, a
lot of new things have been added to Polaris. This year we are making a big step forward with SEMDA-3. Kent's dream of retiring will also come true this year.
The launch of Polaris was never really celebrated.
Even after that, we never got together to celebrate or simply spend time
together. Everyone was totally busy. There was no right time to celebrate and
there never will be. Polaris will never be finished. There will always be
something to do. But there will always be something to celebrate. Be it the
ticket #10000 in RedMine.
It really is high time to make up for it. It's
best to spontaneously celebrate what has been achieved up to the time of the
party. Without patting ourselves on the back, without toast and long speeches,
we all meet up in Lavaux, enjoy good wine and spent time together. All framed with conversations and encounters not only
about Polaris and SEMDA.
Program:
- We meet before lunch in the Lutry marina and visit it.
- In the Café de la Poste we will eat the famous "Filets de perches".
- After the lunch we take the « P’tit train de Lavaux » from Lutry to Riex and admire the Lavaux vineyards.
- Roughly at 15:30 we make a short walk from Riex to Epesses thru the vineyards.

Roughly at 17:00 we meet our rotarian friend Luc Massy at his cellar at Epesses, where the wine tasting of the famous Dézaley and Epesses wines will be prepared for us.
Luc Massy is one of the best-known winegrowers in Lavaux.
- At 19:00 we will enjoy the dinner at the restaurant Le Vigneron at Epesses.
- After the dinner we transfer to the Hotel and consolidate our friendships at the hotel’s bar
